The toolkit includes flyers, social media posts, a rack card and wallet card designed to help people learn about the changes and take steps now to protect their health coverage.

What recipients can do now

Some of the things NCDHHS is encouraging Medicaid recipients under 64 without a disability to do now are:

Start saving important papers. Tell them to keep things like pay stubs, school records and volunteer logs, benefit letters or medical records.

See if the work or activity rules apply to them. Tell them to visit Medicaid.nc.gov/changes or contact their local DSS.

Make sure their local DSS has their correct address and phone number.

Respond to any letters as soon as they get them.

Create an enhanced ePASS account if they do not already have one.

People can use it to upload documents to show proof of work, school or volunteer activities.
