Cecilia and Jarren Jackson

“The kids can eat, afford to have necessary medical operations, and even go on family vacation”

Cecelia and Jarren Jackson earn less than $21,000 after taxes and work expenses, putting their family of five below the poverty line.

They receive about as much in government aid––doubling their net income and lifting their family above the poverty line.

Tax Time

Durham needs all partners who are willing and able to help make tax time a success! We need new folks to become VITA certified so they can prepare others' tax returns. Tax sites also need greeters and other volunteers. Finally, we need you to make sure your neighbors know they can file for free!
